I found some interesting topics on current young women with high income in Beijing from my survey(note 1) which published in Jan.22, 2024. I will talk on these topics briefly in the blogs in the coming updates.

Marriage vs. Independence

52.85% of surveys think that women with high-income in Beijing “may never marry” because they believe they can only rely on themselves or they want to spend more time on catching up with the career opportunity. This matchs my point of view in the essay (note 2) that higher-IQ women are less likely to marry, while men with higher IQs are more likely to marry.

But the triditional culture’s attitude is stigma or negative toward women who remain single. For example their parents who are the older genenration still push women to marry before a certain age. This leands to personal anxiety, rushed marriages, or hidden resentments to young women, which will bring emotianal strain and negative impact on their health.
